After earning her degree in the United States, Emiko began her career at J.P. Morgan, gaining valuable experience in foreign exchange operations. She then transitioned to Nomura’s Investment Banking Division, advising on corporate finance deals, including M&A, POs, and IPOs. She later took on a leadership role as Head of Strategic Talent Acquisition & Development, where she led human capital strategy for the division, driving talent acquisition and leadership development to support business growth.
After 15 years in investment banking, Emiko relocated to Singapore, joining a leading medical marketing consultancy. As part of the corporate planning department, she worked closely with senior management and country leaders across 17 global offices, overseeing M&A transactions and driving strategic business transformations.
Her passion for organizational and talent strategy led her to pursue further education while working in Singapore. She earned an Executive Master in Change from INSEAD, deepening her expertise in leadership, organizational behavior, and transformation.
Today, Emiko is an independent executive coach and organizational HR consultant, leveraging her extensive cross-industry experience to help leaders and organizations navigate change and optimize performance. She is also a PhD candidate at NIODA, focusing on systems psychodynamics.
She is an ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC), affiliated with the ICF San Francisco Chapter. Additionally, she holds a nationally recognized career consulting certification in Japan, demonstrating her expertise in career development and professional coaching. Emiko is also an active member of the Japanese Association of Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and Group Relations Australia, staying engaged with the latest research and developments in the field.
